Vivaretrieva is a small Golden Retriever breeder located on a beautiful country acreage in the Hunter Valley NSW. Vivaretrieva is owned and operated by Meg Ball, and is registered with the NSW branch of the Australian National Kennel Council (ANKC) – Dogs NSW (Dogs NSW Membership Number 2100090593). I am also a member of the Golden Retriever Club of NSW.
Our love affair with Golden Retrievers began over 20 years ago with our very first family dog, Hank, who introduced us to this wonderful breed. After Hank, we welcomed other Goldies over the years, participating in Obedience training and Trialing as well as dabbling with Conformation Shows, and finally making the step to breeding to fulfill a life-long dream.
Our dogs are first and foremost our beloved family members and as such they live with us in our yard and home, coming inside at night as well as during hot or cold weather. Our dogs are not housed in kennels. We continue to be involved with Obedience and Conformation shows, depending on the aptitude of each of our dogs, and as long as both the dog and I are enjoying ourselves!
Vivaretrieva strives to breed Golden Retrievers that have fantastic friendly, trainable temperaments, that are as healthy as possible as well as meeting the breed standard. The Golden Retriever Breed Standard can be found here. Our breeding stock are fully tested for hereditary disease.
